Q.

Where can I look to see what studies are being done on COVID-19. I trust that lots is going on, but it would be nice to see some details and track progress.

A.

Studies are designed to add to medical knowledge regarding treatments, diagnosis and prevention of disease and they are logged by the US National Library of Medicine in a data base called ClinicalTrials.gov, www.clinicaltrials.gov.  Each clinical trial has a principal investigator who is responsible for the structure of the trial; identifying who is and who is not eligible to participate; deciding how many people can be recruited; and publishing the results.

Below are 20 trials on coronavirus being conducted in the United States. There are another 130 trials listed that are being conducted in other countries. Some are currently recruiting and some have not yet started. By clicking on the study title, you can see the details involved with the study, the eligibility specifics and principal investigators.

Below is a listing of the 20 trials in the US.
